Arnaldo De Jesus Lora, MD

Dr. Alnardo De Jesus Lora was born and raised in Paterson, NJ. After graduating from Fair Lawn High School, he took his studies abroad to his parents' native Dominican Republic where he earned his medical degree at Universidad Iberoamerica (UNIBE) in 2014. He then became involved in health administration and assisted with a value-based payment reform program initiated by the State of New York while also earning certifications in project management from Villanova University. He started his internal medicine residency at SUNY Downstate in 2018. During his time as a resident, he has won many awards including Intern of the Year, the Minority Trainee Development Award from the American Thoracic Society, and Resident Advocate of the Year while also being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is now serving as a chief resident and will begin his training in pulmonary and critical care in the Harvard-associated program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in July of 2022. His research for the last 3 years has been focused on the immunologic mechanisms in pulmonary diseases, specifically looking at Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
