Dr. Rolfe Retuya was born and raised in Baguio City, Philippines. He moved to Toms River, NJ when he was 12 years old and graduated from Toms River South High School. Dr. Retuya earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree at St. Peters University and his Doctorate of Medicine Degree from St. George’s University. While in medical school Dr. Retuya completed a medical mission with “Volunteer Nepal” to Nepal; during his time in Nepal he served burn victims of the 2016 Earthquake. Dr. Retuya completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Stony Brook University Hospital and then completed a Point of Care Ultrasound Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine. Currently Dr. Retuya is a Hospitalist and Point of Care Ultrasound instructor at NYP-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where in addition to managing the medical care of admitted patients, he also supervises and educates resident physicians and advance practice providers.
